Please remember to bring along to the meeting any of the following projects that you are working on for the club.

-Don't forget to bring a snack if you are signed up for hospitality.

-"I Remember Mama" quilts will be featured at the November 9th, 2011 meeting.  If you haven't finished your quilt keep working on it.  We plan to have a "Mama" display at the quilt show.

-Comfort quilts can be turned in at any time and do not have to be made from this year's pattern. 

-This year we are combining the Fabric Exchange a with a Mystery Quilt.  Those wanting to participate should bring 8 green 8 1/2" squares and 8 additional 8 1/2" squares that are either red or an all over floral print fabric.  Bring your 8 squares to each of the February, March, April and May meetings.  If you forget or miss a meeting, just bring double the amount to the following month's meeting.  In May directions for making a Mystery Quilt from the swapped squares will be handed out. 

In the second half of the year, a shortened Block Lotto will start .  A fabric will be handed out with the block lotto pattern each month and it will coordinate with the other 4 months.  If the participants make themselves a block in addition to the ones submitted to the lotto, they will be able to make a nice sampler wall hanging from their blocks if they are not fortunate to win the lotto.

-January 13th-16th are the dates for this years quilt retreat at Long Lake Conservation center near Aitkin, Mn.  Plan to arrive after 3:30 pm on Friday the 13th and leave by 3 pm on Monday.  The full 3 night stay which includes 6 meals costs $175.   The 2 night stay which includes 4 meals costs $138.  Enjoy a relaxing long weekend with friends and take time to enjoy the camp's outdoor offerings.  Contact Tracy T to make reservations.  Click here for a suggested list of things to bring.
